He hasn’t actually passed out on his show yet. You can tell he’s completely fatigued. And why shouldn’t he be? He’s under enormous pressure, and he hasn’t had a chance to build up from the bottom. Basically, he has to do John Stewart’s job, only better, and with no experience. Hats off, then, for being so unflappable.

I wanna figure out what he’s got to say on the whole gay people thing. ‘Cuz if his daddy just made us to get burned up and tortured in the fires of eternal damnation, I’m gonna be kinda peeved.

Because I’m listening to Graceland on my iPod right now.

I want to meet the man that future generations will look back upon and revere as one of the finest presidents this country has had. It’s not just that he protected us and made us look good in the eyes of the rest of the world. It’s not just about job growth and economic security. It’s not just about the sense of humor, the diplomancy, the charisma, the respect of power, the ability to lead under constant fire from his own countrymen. It’s not just that, if it hadn’t been for Clinton, we would be in even worse shape than we are right now.

Yes, he probably lied about more than Monica. Yes, he’s a bit of a horndog. But his picture of America was the kind of picture that you wanted to get in shot for. He tried like hell to make the country better. Thank you, Mr. President.
